Regarding technical support...I tend to prefer email/web support over phone support for things that I don't consider too important. For me, these monitors fall in the "not that important" category.

I used Brultech email support early on (I don't think they had the website support stuff then), and always got prompt responses. They also gave me their phone number on at least one occasion to speed things up a bit. I also had good responses from TED support when I used them.

Both companies have their own forums. I've never been on the TED forum since I don't have one anymore. Brultech seems to monitor theirs fairly closely.

Thanks Ira for all of the information. I hadn't considered the breaker usage in the setup. It's good that Brultech's support is responsive once in their queue.

I wonder if I can set up a similar procedure to Brultech's for when my mother-in-law wants to talk to me (including the input of aggravating random characters.)
