The orange connector is available as a separate piece.  Don't remember the part number now.

I did find it 073249 seems to ne the number and it shows a plug on the end will i have to cut the wires and remove the plug then solder the wires and heat shrink them or can i remove the wires from the plug and reinstall them in the new plug or at least the ones that are not bad ?

You should be able to depress the locking tab on the individual wires and slide them out. Make sure to maintain the right order when reassembling. The housing may be available separately from Mouser or Digi-Key. You may need a new connector for the end one that is damaged. It looks like either Molex or Tyco (A-MP). Are there any numbers molded into the housing?

What I am talking about is just the orange connector, no wires at all, crimps onto the existing wires.  I bought one thinking it might be handy for a situation like yours but I would have to find it now.
