Someone is about to post here that they would like the serial number, and also could you give more information.  Like what lead you to replace the controller, symptoms, when it last worked, brief history, any other parts replaced, if you like hot or mild sauce on your taco's.  Basically more info will help.  Error codes .... LPG or NG, probably doesn't matter but why not?

Thanks Bill M...I put this as a category how to get help from this forum. It rarely if ever gets used though. I'm going to add error codes to the list.

I'm a wimp and go with mild sauce!!!

20 KW 2012 Model 0058751 installed 2013
Serial 6511820
LP
Last valve adjustment date -none
last battery replacement-1 yr.
Had to replace controller because only 10 volts going back to transfer switch and would not switch solenoid - had to have 12 volts. Fuel information is not an issue, been running fine sense 2013. It will run fine now if I manually advance speed at right side air cleaner. It just doesn't adjust on its own.

Sounds like the stepper motor is bad OR the connector is not making contact at the controller. You can check the condition of the stepper if you have an ohm meter, get back to us and we'll lead you through it. Mild sauce for me too, and gluten free.

Ok how do I check stepper motor and or controller contacts?

Unplug the stepper from the control, at the connector you have 5 wires, measure the resistance from red to each of the others one at a time, should see in the neighborhood of 10 ohms on each, then check from each to the metal case of the stepper motor, you should see NO continuity. Be gentle with the connector as not to damage the female sockets. I also move the motor arm and re-check looking for the same results. On the controller you will see the five pins that make contact with the plug, inspect those pins for damage.

Thanks !  Checked 5 wire plug on controller and it was not fully inserted. Checked again and runs like it is suppose too. After thinking about it I was ready to put old controller back in and try it but when I saw 5 wire plug partially plugged - problem solved. Thanks again - keeping hopes up that when power goes off 12 volts will be sent to transfer switch.
New to this forum stuff as you can tell. No comment on sauce or Gluten. Have a great Day.

Never trust those gluten free people.  Sleep with one eye open.

Wish I had a choice on gluten free, it's not the most tasty diet but it is more healthy and family history shows the need. Do you lead - lag on the 'one eye open' so as not to wear out one of them?
