Just sharing a story regarding my Generac 11KW Centurion. Several months ago, I started having small puddles of oil on the bottom of the unit, under one of the front mounts. I would clean it up, and it would re-appear.

Since I have a service contract, my service guys came down and replaced the original clamp-on hose clamps with screw-on ones, on the transfer line from the cooler. He told me that the problem had been reported and others were experiencing the same issue.

Sure enough, it helped, but not quite solved. There were still small puddles. So I replaced the original clamp on the oil drain tube myself, and now the problem has completely gone away!

So, a note to those that might be experiencing a similar issue, this may be the correct solution for you. I have attached a photo to show what was done.

Agreed, I have been seeing those clamps loose more than they should, including one that blew off completely on the oil cooler line.

Glad you found a final solution to the leak. Just a suggestion, you will want to check those screw-style clamps for tightness once in a while. Expansion/contraction cycles caused by the engine getting up to temperature and cooling down afterwards can cause screw-style clamps to loosen over time. In the automotive world, the continuous grip spring-style clamps are preferred long term. The big downside for a situation like your would be that you cannot install them without dismantling the hose, or at least disconnecting one end. Your solution is the best one practically speaking. Thanks for the suggestion. Will check every so often. Maybe a drop or two of Loctite Red on the screws?

Probably just give them a quick check with a screw driver once a year. It is not a big worry. I am not sure loctite would work on a hose clamp, but if I tried it, I would use blue rather than red.

do not use loctite on the screws.
if the clamps loose tension over time it's because the hose compresses a bit,it's not the clamp screw that backs out.

that is for an intake bellows, way too large

I would suggest using fuel injection hose clamps. They work much better and don't cut into the rubber hose.

My oil line has been leaking for a while.  I just put on 2 of the fuel injection clamps, so far so good.
