I am installing a 5875 and was curious what you folks are using for a regulator. I have a 2.0 PSI service and will be running 3/4 pipe to the regulator. It seems like the regulators I am finding are either 3-6 inches water column or 7-11 water column. The Generac specs are 5-7 water column. I picked up a 7-11 today, will this be too much, I do not want to over pressure, but I also do not want to starve it?

Just make sure it is adjustable. You can dial it in with a manometer once every thing is hooked up.

Use the 5-11, once your all piped you can pre-adjust it to 7-8" by bleeding a little gas as you adjust the reg., then when your genset is running you can fine-tune it.

Thanks all!
I had hoped to run my SER today, but local supply house went through 800 feet this week and will not have more until monday.:(

The 7-11 is fine. I have heard from a "reliable source" that the 5-7" spec relates to the fact that that is the available NG pressure for much of the country or something like that. The unit will not only run fine on NG pressure at LP gas pressure specs, but is the desirable setup if the pressure is available.
