Here is the spec sheet on the Generac site for the 7043 and other models - it states the fascia is standard on 22KW models (page 6):

Thanks for the link, that's perfect. I'll use that as a reference for contacting the installer.

Turns out they had it in the office, they just thought it looked better without it. They gave it to me upon request. Thanks for the help!

I just recently snapped my fascia on 14 months after the installation! To me I think their "snapping together" design is a little flimsy, but I have not seen any posts detailing the fascia coming (or more likely blowing) off. I thought the appearance was a tiny bit cleaner with them on, but I was fine with the appearance for 14 months without them too!

Just to clear up the fascia issue. 22kW is the only model that comes with fascia. All other units 9-11-16-20kW the fascia must be ordered as an option separately. I am fine with the appearance with or without the fascia. The nice bonus about fascia is it comes with 4 rubber cone shaped bumpers. With fascia installed those bumpers plug the four lifting holes in the corners. Our term here is "rodent guard". Keeps the varmints from making a home under the generator.

I've just installed the first two units with the built in wifi option.

Sir,

Is the wifi option something that can be retrofit on to an existing unit (model G0062602, 16kw)?

At this time no. There is talk about a retrofit kit in the future.

We will certainly post it when we have them available.

Wifi comes on all new models, there shouldn't be an up charge. There is no Fee's associated with the wifi unless you want to pay your dealer an annual subscription for them to remotely monitor your generator daily. Otherwise, for free you'll be able to connect the generator to your wifi, download the mobile link app, and be able to monitor your generators current status, run hours, maintenance schedules and a few other items for FREE.

For a $49.00 fee, you can get a few more options in the app (not worth it IMO).

The addition of wifi is fantastic. As a dealer, I am able to monitor generators 2+ hours away at a glance to provide piece of mind to my customers.. Some of whom are gone for the majority of the winter, and find our annual fee very much worth while for daily monitoring.

I am eagerly awaiting the availability of a retrofit version for our G0062602. Cannot happen soon enough.

Yes the basic WiFi is free. There are a couple pay service options also. You can get status change alerts and such. There is also a dealer connected option. I just haven't had time to get into it and understand it better. Later this winter hopefully...
