Is this the correct manual for the model 5870 8KW generator?
Item No.
0H9172

And is there a "Shop Manual" available for this model?
Thanks.

The owner's manual is part# 0H8358.

I don't have access to a Diagnostic Repair Manual for this series yet.

Thank you sir. I downloaded that PDF but was hoping for a real shop manual. I will wait for one to come out.

Is there any information in particular that you are looking for?

Sorry for the delayed response. I am looking for a "shop" repair manual as I like to have the complete repair manuals on certain items such as my Kubota tractor, cars, etc. The supplied manuals are usually not as in-depth as a shop manual.

I believe what you want is Generac's 0H9172 Diagnostic Repair Manual. It is available in hard copy at Ziller Electric at a really good price. So far, I have not found any free download sites for this manual. There are also generic Generac engine service manuals available, but none that I've found are specific to the latest generation engines being used.

Thank you, that sounds like what I am looking for, and I don't mind paying for a good manual.

Call Ziller Electric at the number you'll find at the top of this page. If nobody answers the "generator" line, get to the gal up front (I presume she's "up front" in the office - I've never been to their facility yet ;)) with a "0" and I'm sure she can get one on the way to you.

These manuals are for the last generation generators, but give you an idea of what level of detail that a diagnostic and reapair manual contains.
