# 44560 with 150 hours runs on natural gas from the factory. Now moving to propane only area. What do I need to do to convert to propane???? Seems there are conflicting ideas both from the factory and local service dealer.

If anyone has done this or knows how would love to hear the "how to"

thnx

In the demand regulator there is a brass orifice screwed into a holding mount facing the front of the generator.  You need to remove the small hose and the fitting that goes into the demand regulator and install the orifice in the base of that port.  It is a tricky little job but can be done without removing the demand regulator.  That is the only change that needs to be made but you will have to readjust the large port screws on the front and back of the regulator for peak performance.

A trick on removing the small hose:  Don't remove it.  Just slide the clamp up the hose, then unscrew the barbed fitting letting it turn inside the hose.  Use or make yourself a screw starter to hold the orifice on the end of a small screwdriver and screw it in, and then verify the installation of the orifice with a mirror.
State your problem, not your diagnosis.
