Would it be best to add an additional 110v supply to the inside of my 16kw generac unit or use the added 110 volt  fused line ( 5 amp buss fuse ) battery charger wire when I installed the generator this year. The oil and battery draw 130 watts or approx. 1.5 amps. Would need to use the common ( white wire) and the ground ( green wire ) in the generator to wire a 110 v box to connect the warmers to thermo. cube unit.

I suggest that you post the model and serial number of your generator so folks know what you are working with.

You will probably need to add wiring to do the job and I recommend hiring a qualified electrician to design and implement the job.  The wire colors you suggest would not be code compliant for the job.  There are MANY things that must be considered for making such a job code compliant.

During generator installation, I had our electricians install a GFCI protected outlet in the battery compartment. The line comes from the GFCI breaker in the electrical panel. It is normally fed directly by utility power and of course by generator power when the system is energized by transfer switch operation.

like your location of the outlet.  Thanks for your assistance and the picture.

If I could access my old post I could show you what I did if my photos were there.

I installed a GFCI outlet inside the generator enclosure with a 50 watt battery blanket and two 50 watt stick on block heaters, one controlled by a TC1 thermo cube and one controlled by a TC2 thermo cube.

Here you go Hodgy, I think this was yours. I remember your photos and saved a few. Yours is how I obtained the idea to do mine.

Do you not have an drop down arrow in the upper right corner of your post? On mine if I click on that it allows me to edit.

Unfortunately I think what we currently have is where it will be. We were having so much trouble at the end with vB. Being forced to try different revisions to get it to work. I fear anything that was lost happened during that. I will check with WT to see if we have any options.
