Sam
Hey All, Sam here,
I have been watching the posts and have seen where several of you have had problems getting radiators repaired that have sprung pin-holes in the tubes or are not so quality off shore made units or like mine are so old they are not manufacturing any more NOS. for sale from Generac. So, that kinda leaves us scrambling to keep our otherwise decent running units making juice. I found something while surfing that may be of interest to those of you in this boat. Please let it be known that I am not affiliated, work for, prior or otherwise connected to this company. I found a company that builds custom aluminum radiators. They are Championcooling.com. They are out of Lake Elsinore, CA. I went on their website and they have a drop down that will take you to 'Find your core size'. On here they have rad's in size from 10-1/2"x 10-1/4" size to 23-5/8"x 16-3/8" and a whole lot of sizes in between. I picked out one for instance that measured 16-1/2"x 17-1/8" which is about the size of the rad. on my Generac 47220. Guy's, that radiator rings right in at about $244.95 + shipping. From what I saw they have a pretty ironclad lifetime guarantee on these. I'm sure the unit you pick would not be a drop in fit for your unit, but aluminum is pretty easy to work with. Have them put blank side mounting plates on your rad. during manufacture and when you get it, lay out your support hole positions and drill your own mounting boss holes so it matches the holes on your radiator support plate. I have seen a lot of you guys on here are really ingenious when it comes to making things work. Like I say, I have no official say for this company, but they show a really large amount of diverse sizes and maybe for one of you that needs a rad., might be a good starting point. Hope this may help someone that's in a tight spot. Thanx for your time, Sam.... Ã°Å¸Ëœâ€°

I bookmarked this site not only for my genset, but as a potential supplier for custom radiators for my racecar and other vehicles.
Thanks.
