I have an air cooled Guardian generator, which has always worked perfectly since installation. So naturally I was banking on that as Irene came through the Annapolis area. Last night during the storm it would not start but cranked just fine. All of the red LED lights were blinking.

This morning I removed and reinserted the fuse and then it started. It is running now and powering our home. But all of the LED lights are still blinking. Any thoughts? I appreciate any help.

It would be helpful if you told the gang the model number and roughly when the unit was built.

If all of your LED's are blinking I would assume the board lost it's memory and the exercise period is saying that it is not set. If you are still running on generator and it's working wait until the power comes back on and then reset it's evercise period.

Thanks and sorry for the incomplete info. It is Model 0052430, which I beleive is the 15kW model. We installed it in late 2006 or early 2007. Appreciate the info - it is still blinking away, but running fine.

Which says to me, if the battery has not been replaced within the last 2 years, replace it. If its newer, make sure the battery connections are firm and clean.
