Honeywell/Generac 20kw - While changing my oil to the 5W30 full synthetic I noticed the original factory oil was a cream color out of the drain tube. If I recall from years ago this would indicate water in the oil. I continued draining it out and replaced the filter. After filling it I ran it for about 10 minutes. I then opened the drain tube to see the color of the new oil and it was perfectly clear. I'm planning to have the cold weather kit installed this week but I'm going to hold off should any of you feel that there may be an issue. thanks -

Condensation forming on the interior walls of the crankcase is normal. At worst you may have a tablespoon of water in it, which will be boiled away with a quarter hour run at no load, and much more quickly under load.

Any crankcase or oil filter warmers should reduce the amount of condensation that forms. At least when they are on. It's of no concern.
State your problem, not your diagnosis.
