I have 48KW protector QS (RG048) that needs to be pared with a Thomson Marathon ATS. The ATS has a 2 wire start output and the Evolution controller has terminals for a two wire start on TB3 (wires 178/183)

Is there  anything else required from a wiring point of view than simply connecting the 2 wires between the ATS and TB3?

I know the programming has to be updated in the dealer menu. I assume the password is the same as has been posted previously?

Any help would be much appreciated!

thanks,
Nishan

That's pretty much it for running the genset.
You will still need 120vac to power the controller. battery charger, and block heater, and obviously the feeder wires from the genset to the switch.

I setup my Protector diesel with a remote start/stop function, controlled from a panel in the house.
Very convenient for shutting down when not needed during extended outages.

See my threads here:  (Unfortunately, all the pictures were lost when the forum changed from VB.)

Thx...I'm asking because the previous generation of the evolution controller seemed to require an additional wiring harness to achieve 2-wire start. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing a step.

thx!
