The other day I noticed the entire bottom portion of our plastic breaker housing was coming out of the side generator panel that the housing is supposed to be securely mounted to (on our 5875.) Upon inspection I found that there were two silver clips that were slid onto the breaker housing ears along the top of the housing which lifts the ears slightly and keeps the ears on the inside of the generator's side panel.

Unfortunately, there were no silver clips installed along the bottom of the housing. These clips are needed to keep the ears extended slightly so that the ears along the bottom of the housing stays inside the generator. I solved this problem with a small wood shim that I had laying around. I just cut a small piece of the shim and inserted it to extend the ear slightly. I'm not sure if the wood will stay in or not. Time will tell.

I'm posting this so others can be aware of this part omission in case they experience the same problem.

Would someone please help me identify the part number for the silver color tabs that slide on the housing ears? I just tried looking it up, but the silver tabs are not show on my diagram. Arrrg!
