Is it ok to replace the single lugs in ATS by double lugs to feed each panel?

Sure they do it all the time.

All i'll have to do then is find the gap width required between the new wider lugs.

Check your ATS lugs if they are oval looking they will accept 2 wires. A lot of 400amp come with parallel lugs

The factory lugs in the ATS are listed to allow for 2 conductors to be terminated per terminal. The wire range for paralleled connectors are 2 - 250 kcmil -1/0 AWG copper or aluminum conductors per terminal.

This set up will be fed off a 94kva mobile generator. The client has 2 business so he will move his gen wherever power failure occur.
Planning to use the DLO cable wiring system.Since the gen will be start manually there will be no control wires.
Will the ATS still tranfer automatically ?

No, because there is nothing providing the twelve volts to command it to. Why not use a manual transfer switch? A two wire start switch would transfer once it has seen generator power but not the typical RTS switch.

400 Amps manual transfer switch sounds heavy to operate but a 2 wire start switch sounds interesting.
The thing is when I make a search for 2 wire start switch in Ziller generator or parts store all that appear are piece of wire.

A GTS switch should work. Its a two wire switch

The two wire start kits are designed to allow the typical Generac generator to work with a two wire switch. A two wire switch has intelligence built into it, ie control board that sees power loss and return and has adjustable parameters. It tells the generator to start and shut down. The typical RTS switch has no control board and is commanded by the control board in the generator.

So that 2 wire switch would be for a stanby generator with no control board.
What I'm working on is a mobile generator. So the only thing that will be connected
between the generator and the switch are 5 DLO cables through a box on outside building wall.

We at Ziller being a residential/commercial dealer do not have GTS switches available to us. You will have to reach out to a Generac industrial dealer. Remember to change the first drop down box to industrial to bring up the appropriate people
