Hello guys, This unit has a fault, "Check Engine"  The owners manual states it is an Emission Related Fault.  It will not clear from the controller as I expected.  We just did a full maintenance on the gen and need to fix the fault.  Do any of you know how I am to find the culprit, make the repair and reset the controller message?  It is linked to a Transfer switch TSC 80e (A hugh monster).  I do not think that controller has any thing to do with the gen controller fault but it is programmed to override the Exercise cycle setting on the gen controller.  That thing if the next concern.  If you can help on the avenue I need to travel for the fault repair it would be appreciated.

I have no printed material for industrial emissions certified units. You might be able to remove ALL power from the controller to reset it but I am just guessing at that and if the fault is still present you'll be back at the same place. Get in touch with Generac to find an industrial service shop.

Most likely a problem with the O2 sensor. If controller is getting the correct signal, it is a self resetting alarm.

The check engine is a non latching fault which can occur for a few reasons that include fuel pressure being low.  It won't clear until it has like 7 starts over a period of time that there are no emission issues.  I would ignore it and see if it goes away.
